Our crew
Teamwork lies at the core of SAINT JAMES. The exceptional quality of our clothing stems from the expertise and dedication of our artisans, who every day innovate, design, and craft with precision and passion. From knitting to tailoring, every garment benefits from their knowledge and experience, ensuring that each piece upholds the brand’s heritage of authenticity and excellence.
SAINT JAMES: Craftsmanship, Heritage, and Creativity
Guided by a shared vision, the SAINT JAMES team brings together passion, precision, and a relentless pursuit of quality. Every day, our artisans craft elegant garments that remain true to their maritime heritage while embracing modern trends.
At SAINT JAMES, technical expertise and human skills go hand in hand. Through internal training programs, we ensure the transmission of rare artisanal techniques, such as raccoutrage (mending) and remaillage (remeshing)—skills that are no longer taught in schools. This dedication to heritage and know-how guarantees that traditional craftsmanship continues to thrive.
Our approach to excellence is built on respect, integrity, and transparency, values that shape every step of production and ensure garments of exceptional quality.
Beyond technical mastery, the creativity of our team allows SAINT JAMES clothing to transcend trends and generations, remaining timeless, authentic, and true to its legacy.

From design to manufacturing clothes
The SAINT JAMES workshops are organized around three complementary functions: the design studio, the knitting Atelier, and the cut-and-sew department, each contributing to the creation of garments that combine heritage, quality, and elegance.

Home to 25 skilled professionals, our stylists and pattern makers craft each seasonal collection.
Drawing inspiration from contemporary fashion trends, they reinterpret them while preserving the nautical soul and timeless elegance that define SAINT JAMES clothing.

Our knitting workshop features 77 state-of-the-art looms, 17 of which were renewed after 2013, making it one of the largest and most advanced knitting facilities in Europe.
These looms are supervised by our knitting engineers, also known as master knitters, who meticulously adjust settings for each garment and monitor production to ensure exceptional quality and flawless finishing.

Garments are assembled in nine autonomous groups, each composed of 6 to 8 highly skilled artisans. Over 100 seamstresses bring these pieces to life, employing complex sewing techniques that demand both precision and artistry, ensuring that every SAINT JAMES product reflects its premium craftsmanship and maritime heritage.
