Wash your garments only when necessary. Over-washing may weaken delicate fibres.
Silk is a precious natural fibre. With proper care, silk garments can last for years.
- Prefer cold handwashing, taking care not to wring or twist the fibres
If machine-washing:
- Place the garment in a protective mesh bag
- Wash at a maximum of 30°C
- Use minimal spin
- Avoid fabric softener, which weighs down the fibre
- For finishing, steam rather than iron.
