01. PRODUCT INFO

1.How do I search for an item ?

You can use the internal search engine of this website. Enter the name or type of product you are looking for. For example, you can search for "sweater" and thus discover different filters that will allow you to refine your search.

The menu bar also gives you access to the main categories: Women, Men, Kids, and Accessories.

2.Where are the Saint James products made ?

Saint James was incorporated in 1889 in Normandy, France but archives show that wool and knitting workshops have existed in the area since the Middle Ages. See our full story in the About Saint James section of the website.

To this day, knitwear and striped shirts are still produced in our facility in the village of Saint-James, France as indicated on the product pages.

3.What if the product I want to buy is not in stock ?

You have the option of setting up an alert on the website. You will then receive an email to let you know as soon as your item becomes available again. Indeed, if the product is a victim of its success, our workshops will do their utmost to replenish it.

4.Where can I find Saint James products in my area ?

Our products are distributed in a selection of multi-brand retailers, whose list you can find in our store locator accessible through the website's footer navigation.

5.How can I be sure I'm ordering the right size ?

Please refer to our size guide produced by our Quality Control team to pick the right size and best fit for you.

6.What are the different cuts available ?

SAINT JAMES sailor shirts, fisherman sweaters, and raincoats are unique. Each model has its specific fit. You can find more details about the different fits we propose (slim, adjusted, straight, feminine, fitted, comfort etc) in the size guide.

7.What is a wishlist ?

A wishlist is a list of your favorite items, which you may want to save for later reference. That way, you can view or purchase them on your next visit. 

8.How long do products stay on the wishlist ?

The products remain registered on your wishlist for 28 days.

9.How do I take care of my SAINT JAMES products ?

Pure new wool is naturally static. Unlike synthetic fibers, dust does not stick to it deeply. Simple brushing and your clothes will stay clean for a very long time.

Wool is alive. Let your clothes "breathe." In your closet, do not pack your clothes too tight. They will naturally resume their shape.

For washing, follow the care instructions on the product label.

Never put woolen clothing in your dryer.

The mesh can be steam ironed in position 2 of your iron. If you iron it dry, place a wet cloth between the iron and the garment to prevent it from getting shiny.

10.What is the Atelier line ?

SAINT JAMES l'Atelier is the story of Saint-James, the true one since 1889: 100% wool sweaters are knitted there, quite simply unique, thanks to the longevity of the knit. Families pass Saint-James sweaters from one generation to the next.

SAINT JAMES l'Atelier is also the world of sea crossings and stripes: Breton Striped Shirts are made in the workshops using unique know-how. It's all about proportion, balance, and of course, quality. The 16x8 stripe is distinctive to Saint-James.

SAINT JAMES l'Atelier consists of these iconic pieces (sweaters, Breton shirts, and coats) that are classic, authentic, timeless, and seasonless. Yet, each season, we reinterpret these classics always inspired by the sea, the bay of Mont Saint-Michel, which surrounds us, and this heritage of 130 years alive.

11.How does EPV - Living Heritage Company label - guarantee quality ?

This distinction is a state label awarded to companies for five years, distinguishing French companies with excellent artisanal and industrial know-how. This label brings together manufacturers committed to the high performance of their profession and their products.

The designated manufacturing houses are recognized to hold a specific economic heritage, know-how based on mastery of techniques

traditional or high-tech, hence promoting French production. They benefit, like SAINT JAMES, from an old business standing and of great notoriety.

02. MY ACCOUNT

1.How to create an account ?

You can create your SAINT JAMES account by clicking on the "account" icon in the header then on "Register." It's straightforward and fast, and it allows you to track your orders, save multiple addresses and manage your wishlist.

2.What if I lose my password ?

You can reset your password at any time. To do this, first, click on the "account" icon at the top right of the website, then on "Forgotten password?"  and enter your email address. You will receive a link via email to rest your password and log back into your account. If you do not receive an email from us, we invite you to check your spam folder.

3.Can I modify the personal information (phone numbers, addresses, orders) in my account?

Your account allows you to access your order history and your address book. Your telephone number can also be modified in the address file.

If you wish to change your email address, please contact the SAINT JAMES customer service at +33 2 61 41 05 56 (Monday to Friday from 8a.m. to 6p.m.), or by email at boutique-internet@saint-james.fr.

4.Can I add additional addresses to my account ?

Simply go to your account in the "delivery address" tab and add a new address.

5.How can I set a default address ?

If you have an account, you can save several addresses and indicate one by default. You can update it at any time.

6.How can I subscribe to the newsletter ?

Register for our newsletter, Saint James, and be the first to know about new collections, exclusive events, and promotions.

Enter your email address in the "Newsletter" section at the bottom of the website.

7.How can I unsubscribe from the newsletter ?

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter by simply clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each newsletter you receive. Alternatively let us know by email boutique-internet@saint-james.fr.

03. MY ORDERS

1.Do I pay tax ?

The French sales tax will be applied to orders shipped to the E.U. (20% rate)

2.Is it safe to place an order ?

SAINT JAMES uses the services of a third party to process credit card transactions. Saint James’ employees do not have access to your credit card information and no information is stored on Saint James’ server. Payments are secured by an SSL certificate. 

3.How do I place an order ?

Click on "Add to cart" for each item you want to purchase. Click on "Shopping Cart” or “Checkout” to finalize your order.

4.Will I get a receipt with my order ?

Yes, you will receive an email receipt when you place the order and a printed packing slip will be included in your package when your order ships. It can be used to return merchandise. If you have created an account, you will also find your order history by logging into the My Account section of the website.

5.What are the online payment methods ?

We accept the following: American Express, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and ApplePay.

All the payments are secured by an SSL certificate.

6.Will my credit card be charged immediately ?

Yes, your credit card will be charged when your place your order. When you enter your credit card information and click "order now" on the final review page, we will give you an order confirmation number. You will also receive an email confirming that your order has been received within a few minutes. 

7.How will I know that my transaction has been accepted ?

We will immediately email you an order confirmation – please make sure to add Saint-James.com to your “safe senders” list in order to prevent our communications from being blocked by spam filters.

8.How do I track my order ?

A confirmation email including your order’s tracking number will be sent once your order has been shipped. You may check the status of your order by visiting the UPS website or directly from your account on Saint-James.com.

9.How do I cancel my order ?

If for any reason you must cancel an order, please contact our customer service by phone +33 2 61 41 05 56 or email at boutique-internet@saint-james.fr. Please note that we can not cancel an order after it has been shipped. 

10.Do I have to create an account to place an order ?

You do not need to create an account to place an order. You can checkout as a guest. However, creating an account makes it quicker to place an order by saving your profile information and address book. You can also track your order history in your account. 

11.When should I receive my order confirmation email ?

The order confirmation email is sent to you as soon as your payment has been confirmed. If you do not receive anything after your order, remember to check your spam folder.

04. MY DELIVERY

1.What are the shipping fees ?

Shipping is free for any order above 150€.

For orders under 150€, shipping fees are 8€90

2.Can I get an invoice for my order ?

Your invoice is available in your customer account. You can download a pdf version.

Just click on the "Orders" tab, and select the one you want. Once the order selected, click on the "Download the invoice" button.

3.What can I do if I'm not home when my order is delivered ?

Your Saint James' order will be delivered by Colissimo. If you're not home at the time of the delivery, Colissimo or their local partners will reach our to you to reschedule the delievry or pick up your package at a Post Office.

4.I haven't received my package, what can I do ?

First, please check your order delivery status on the tracking page, available in your customer account.

If the tracking information states that your package has been delivered, please check your mailbox and/or porch. You can also ask your neighbours, in case they received it for you.

If your package is still nowhere to be found and no calling card has been left for you, please contact us by phone +33261410556 (from Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm, Paris time) or by e-mail using boutique-internet@saint-james.fr

5.How long does it take to receive my order ?

The delivery is handled by Colissmo. It usually takes 4 to 7 business days (Monday to Friday) to receive an order, once you've received the confirmation email.

6.Where does Saint James ship ?

Our orders are shipped by Colissimo in Europe.
Items purchased on this website can only be delivered to Europe.

For deliveries in France, please visit our French website.

For deliveries in the US, please visit our American website.

05. EXCHANGE AND RETURNS

2.What can I do if I received a defective product ?

In the case that you received a defective product, please contact our Customer Service by phone +33261410556 (from Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm, Paris time) or by e-mail using boutique-internet@saint-james.fr

3.Do I have to pay for my return ?

Return fees are at the expense of the customer. Please use any trackable method and be certain to insure the package. Saint James is not responsible for shipping fees or lost/stolen packages.

4.How can I be refunded ?

SAINT JAMES gladly accepts returns within 15 days of the date of sale if accompanied by original invoice for orders placed on this website. Returned merchandise must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered and have original tags intact.

You can send the item(s) back to us at the address below with the original invoice using any trackable method, at your expense. Please be certain to insure the package. Saint James is not responsible for shipping fees or lost/stolen packages.

We refund the total amount of the order, including shipping fees if some were applied (except for the potential extra fees paid to use a shipping service more expensive than the one we offer).

We proceed with the refund using the same payment method used for the initial transaction.

5.How long does it take to be refunded after a return ?

The processing time is about 5 working days after the receipt of your return. SAINT JAMES makes all the necessary effort to refund you as quickly as possible.

6.What articles can I return ?

You can return every article purchased on our website, as long as it is unworn, unwashed, unaltered and has original tags intact.

For hygienic reasons, face masks and underwear cannot be returned.

1.How can I find the closest shop ?

You can use our Store Locator service by clicking on the Store Locator icon, right next to your Wishlist icon.

To localize the shop, please enter your address, city or zip code.Ypu can navigate on the map and zoom on your city to see all SAINT JAMES' shops in the area.

You can find on the map our shops, corners and resellers.
Once you've selected your SAINT JAMES' shop, you can find its address, phone number and opening hours.

2.How can I contact my shop ?

The contact details for each shop are available on our Store Locator. You can find there the address, phone number and e-mail address of your favourite SAINT JAMES' shop.

07. GIFT CARD

1.What is a Gift Card ?

SAINT JAMES gift cards are cards going from 50 to 500€. They allow you to choose from a selection of more than 300 products on our website. The SAINT JAMES gift card is dematerialized, and you will receive an email containing the card, that you can send to its recipient.

The gift card is only usable online and is valid for a year following the purchase date. You can spend your credit in one or multiple purchases.

2.How can I send the Gift Card to someone else ?

After buying the Gift Card, you will receive a confirmation email that you can transfer to the person of your choice.

3.How to use my Gift Card ?

At check-out, after choosing your delivery option, you can add your Gift Card number.

If the amount of your order is lower than the amount on your Gift Card, you will of course be able to use your Gift Card again.

4.How can I know the remaining amount on my Gift Card ?

To know the remaining amount on your Gift Card, click on the link in the purchase confirmation email to access the Gift Card balance and code to use at check-out.

08. VISIT THE ATELIER

1.How to book the visit ?

To book your visit, please contact us by phone at +33 2 33 89 15 55 or by email visite@saint-james.fr.

2.Is the visit guided ?

Yes, the visit is accompanied by a guide, whether in French, English, or Italian.

3.Is there a charge for the visit ?

Yes, the visit costs € 5, but is deductible from any € 50 purchase in our shop next door.

4.How long is the visit ?

The duration of the visit is approximately one hour.

5.When can we visit the Atelier ?

Visits to the atelier are by reservation only from Monday to Thursday, at 10:30 am and 2 pm. During school holidays (all zones combined), visits take place from Monday to Friday, at 10:30 am and 2:00 pm (possibility of additional time slots according to demand).

6.Can we visit the SAINT JAMES Atelier (manufacturing facility) ?

You can visit our SAINT JAMES Atelier (manufacturing facility) in Normandy and, thus, discover the secrets of making a real sailor sweater, from knitting to the finished product. Come and meet artisans with excellent know-how.
